Director's Statement

The subject matter of the film is very important to me because I feel that the subject matter is still an ongoing issue in our world today. The purpose of the film was not to point a finger and target a certain individual or region but to provide exposure to a topic seldomly discussed.

Synopsis

"For Jie" is a short film into the mind of a struggling husband & newborn father in the bustling streets of Guangzhou.  Born and raised into poverty, life is a continuous struggle for Biaojia.  If given the opportunity, he would wish a better life for his newborn son, Jie.
